My work explores the dialogue between

tradition, material and light.

Trained in graphic design in Brussels and London,

and later at the Institut Van der Kelen,

I developed a fascination for the techniques of decorative painting and the timeless beauty of natural materials.

My practice draws on the heritage of traditional craftsmanship : from Flemish painting

to the art of imitating marble, wood and stone ,

while reinterpreting these techniques through a contemporary lens.

I create works that play with perception.

From a distance, they may appear to be fragments of marble, stone or wood shaped by time. On closer inspection, landscapes, natural elements and imaginary details gradually emerge within the material.

Light is an essential part of this experience.

My translucent works reveal another dimension when illuminated from within, transforming the relationship between painting, object and space.

When the light is off, the work reveals its materiality.

When it is on, another world appears.

This approach led to the creation of " les petits monde ": works situated between painting, sculpture and light.

Each piece is entirely developed and crafted in my studio, combining traditional techniques, layers of paint and glazing with contemporary materials and lighting.

My work is created for collectors, galleries, architects and interior designers who seek pieces where craftsmanship, illusion and contemporary design meet.

A dialogue between what appears to be stone and what is actually painted.

Between an ancient technique

and a contemporary object.
Between matter and light.
